Marissa Lupe, Latina/Indigenous (she/her) of mixed heritage, has always found her safe place in the world of stories. Now, she’s creating her own worlds in the scope of speculative fiction and hopes to provide the same joy to her readers.

Her first published series includes three books plus a prequel; Stars Like Acid, Stars Like Fire, Stars Like Rain, and The Bone Inventory. Her first novel, Stars Like Acid, was included in the Satisfiction book box in late 2024, and was mentioned as a book to read by Winter Is Coming dot Net. Her third novel, The Bone Inventory, was nominated as ‘Jaw Dropper’, ‘Gives Me Goosebumps’, ‘Fearless Female Storyteller’, and ‘Anti Hero I Cheered For’ through the Indieverse Awards. 

Marissa has been selected as a speaker at the, A Million Lives book festival 2025, and was featured in Voyage Denver Magazine December of 2024. She has book outlines for over a dozen novels and looks forward to all the stories that are to come. 

Beyond writing, Marissa enjoys anything artsy and creative, like making jewelry, painting, photography, and collecting crystals. She currently lives in the Rocky Mountains of western Colorado with her family, connecting with the soul of the Earth through the appreciation of nature.
